Podcasts are quickly becoming a successful way to find ideas for great TV shows – we already know that origin story is a success. But it also works the other way around.
ITV have ventured into the creation of podcasts to support some of their biggest sporting and entertainment shows as the audio format gains ground across the industry as a part of their digital strategy. Their biggest and boldest podcast project to date is for the smash hit TV series, Love Island, forming part of ITV's digital strategy to provide fans with a multitude of ways to engage with the show alongside social media platforms.
Digital producer from ITV Amy Elizabeth Hill will join the festival to talk about ITV's experience with making a podcast to follow TV shows and ITV Sports.
