As director of development, Matt Hoklotubbe helps lead all development for New Form’s premium content from inception to delivery. Matt works closely with the EVP, originals and development, Melissa Schneider, to establish the company’s creative filters and pursuant projects. Matt led our first linear television show Final Space through the sales process and development from pilot stage to network delivery. He is an executive producer on Final Space, which will debut this winter during primetime on television network, TBS.
Since joining New Form, Matt oversaw the writing and casting for the romantic comedy “Single By 30,” now on Youtube Red. During his time here he has supervised seven short form series for various digital platforms, including the Streamy winning drama I Ship It. In addition, he has overseen the development of 15 pilots and is currently leading a pilot program with a high-profile partner.
Prior to his position at New Form, Matt helped Ed Helms found his production company, Pacific Electric, where he served as a junior development executive on six pilots for NBC, ABC, FX, Comedy Central and TBS. Before that, he spent four years working in the development department at Imagine Entertainment serving as story editor.
Matt was born and raised in Southern California and attended
UCSB for Film Studies where he specialized in screenwriting and film theory.
