BEHIND TOP OF THE LAKE WITH JANE CAMPION
Copenhagen Film Fund and Copenhagen TV Festival are proud to present Jane Campion, who is a very respected and Oscar-winning movie creator. She was the first and (so far) only woman to win a Palme d'Or and one of only four women who have ever been nominated for an Oscar for best instructor. And even though she did not win it, she did win three other Oscars.
The participants at Copenhagen TV Festival can look forward to meeting her and hearing the whole story of her work with "Top of the Lake" Season 1 and 2.
Jane Campion won and Oscar for the classic movie "The Piano" and is now back we her "Top of the Lake" season 2.
It is four years since we saw Elisabeth Moss, the truth-seeking detective Robin Griffin in season one. In season two we are presented with the new characters played by world star Nicole Kidman and our danish David Dencik.
"Considered to be one of the most influential female filmmakers around the world, Jane Campion is someone who makes films on her terms. She has given a voice to female characters that hadn’t been displayed in a lot of films. Matching poetic imagery with stark stories about women struggling with their identities, Campion’s work has definitely made her standout against many of her contemporaries." (Cinema Axis)
